Desigual: Campaign with beautiful vitiligo model

A lot has been said and done to show how important it is to take whatever makes you different and walk tall and proud. Whether it is your body shape, your curves or lack of them, your height, your complexion or any handicap you might have, it seems that society is taking pride in difference.
Fashion has been on the center stage of keeping this a trend to follow.

Desigual, a colorful brand based in Barcelona, made being different and loving it its motto from day one. For their Polka dot fall collection, they made, yet again, another statement of that belief by inviting vitiligo model and spokesperson Winnie Harlow (or Chantelle Brown-Young).

For those of you not familiar with this condition, here you go:
Vitiligo is a condition that causes depigmentation of parts of the skin. It occurs when skin pigment cells die or are unable to function. It is thought of as an autoimmune disease, affecting 0.5-1% of the world population.

Embracing the beauty of any aspect of yourself seems to be a key element in living a happy and successful life.
