MyMondayLook – The Color Block
In 1965, Yves Saint Laurent, inspired by Mondrian paintings created a color block collection, respectfully named as The Mondrian Collection. Since then, the perception of color combination in the same piece of fabric has changed.
Without going to far back, the past F/W and S/S collections have brought to us the strong colors mixed and matched both in the same item or in several greatly combined. No patterns, just color. 2012 F/W strong and warm colors, along with 2013 SS acid and vibrant pallet confirm what we already know: this is a trend to keep!
So who am I to go against this block? Today I am wearing a fabulous and well fitted dress from H&M FW 2012 collection; comfortable, yet sexy and with that touch of glam that makes it a perfect outfit for Mondays! The below is the closest I could find to what it looks like.
Have a great week!
