New Kids on the Fashion Block

“Those who do not want to imitate anything, produce nothing”, Salvador Dalí

I read this over 10 years ago when I bought my first Dalí book. I found it both incredibly poetic and brilliant.

The eternal fashion designers followed, looked up to start also by being, at a certain extent (even if only in little details), imitated. It is not that new and incredibly talented designers are not capable of creative thinking or vision but because the shadows of our idols do cling, do stay and are taken within.

If you have to imitate, follow, be inspired by someone, make sure it is someone great.

These are a few of the new faces of fashion. They were inspired by great ones. They will inspire great ones.
