Just art?
I know this is art. But I do wonder if the tapped mouth, tied wrists, covered faces and hands around the neck is the message that two arts I love – fashion and photography – from designers I admire – Giambattista Valli, Alexander McQueen and Martin Margiela – and magazines I get inspired from – Vogue and V Magazine – is what we, artists, creators, creatives, really want to convey under the “art” premise.
What we say, what we do, what we design has an impact, carries a message. We need to make sure it is a positive one!
I agree with you, it’s the ‘bird in a gilded cage’ – it’s still a cage, no matter how others make it look and advertise it, the bird is a prisoner.
